If you having difficulty achieving the distances you once drove, feeling worn out after playing or noticing that your body just can’t get it done, it makes sense to be evaluated by a  trainer that  that knows golf  fitness like the trainers at iGOLFfit. 

Not just any exercise, not just any trainer: As every body is different so should the golf fitness routine be different.

Our golf-specific evaluative techniques help us to identify YOUR strengths and weaknesses, so we can better determine what exercises best suite YOU. Our iGolfFit trainers will take your evaluative findings and develop a progressive training regimen as well as an individualized program for you to follow on your own. We can collaborate with your teaching pro and when necessary coordinate practice drills to address your physical needs. Your trainer will then work one-on-one with you and make sure that you are performing the exercises properly to insure efficient gains and carry over to your game.

Effective training begins with an evaluation that allows our trainers to design an exercise program that fits the goals, needs and physical capabilities of each individual client.

At Your First Session:

  • Your trainer will first talk with you, to learn about your exercise habits and your golf history and discuss your goals-both physical and as they relate to your game.
  • He or she will then perform a comprehensive evaluation of your musculoskeletal system, including posture, body mechanics, joint mobility, range of motion, soft tissue mobility, strength, flexibility and functional testing. 
  • Depending on the evaluative findings and your goals, your trainer will next explain the recommended training plan, what it will entail and why it is being recommended.
  • Your trainer will teach you exercises to achieve your goals and will monitor your progress and adjust your program as necessary. Finally, your trainer will review your plan and together with you will determine a mutually acceptable schedule going forward. Follow-up appointments can be scheduled before leaving the gym at which time the appropriate follow-up appointments will be scheduled.

Follow-up Sessions:

  • During your training sessions your trainer will review your program and continually monitor your technique and progress.
  • Training sessions last one hour and incorporate re-testing and exercise progression. 
  • Training programs typically take place over a 6 week cycle and a re-evaluation is then scheduled.  

Training Macro and Micro Cycles:

  • Off season training programs are design to work on each individuals specific needs and goals and the programs are broken down into cycles for each players season.
  • Players are encouraged to keep in close contact with trainers to continually progress their program to match their fitness level.   

Online Training Programs

  • iGOLFfit provides custom designed golf specific training programs which you can access from your home computer on MyTPI.com.
  • your personal regimen will be available online at the Titleist Performance Institute website (MyTPI.com), where you can read descriptions and view video clips of each exercise you have been prescribed
  • MyTPI.com also provides an extensive collection of nutrition, golf and fitness tips that will be helpful to any golfer regardless of fitness level.
